Interest on Dormat PF account
Would anyone be able to clarify - Whether a dormant PF account where no deposits have happened for over 3 years, get interest or not? more

Yes you will get interest till the date of withdrawal or retirement which ever is earlier more

Yes, interest is earned on PF contribution till retirement i.e. 60 years or till the date of settlement but maximum limit is 3 years from the date of retirement as per central PF commissioner Mr. J B Roy. more

Yes interest will be calculated till date of withdrawal. Govt is liable to payment interest so long as they hold your money. (in other words the money so far collected or deposited in any PF account is in the kitty of Govt and they are using the funds. Hence they are liable to pay interest till the money is returned to the claimant. We can refer various court judgements more
