Installation of CCTV cameras may require police permission

Referring to newspaper report saying police permission may be required for installation of CCTV cameras. It looks to be quite surprising as to what is the need of permission of the police specially when the public is using CCTV cameras for their security and surveillance of their own property, material alike uses. Is this idea again being mooted again to disturb statutory discharge of the functionality of Aam Aadmi Party Govt and create hurdle for Delhi transformation. Public had given its mandate to Aam Aadmi Party three years back and I feel the mandate need to be respected by all. Your view on the issue. more

Let RWAs and Delhi Govt decide the locations of CCTV. There is no need to involve Delhi Police more
Installation of CCTv cameras will supplement the work of Police & will prove in a great way for early resolutions of crimes & complaints more
It should have been rephrased to working with the police rather than taking permission. more
Seeking police permission is to kill the project. more
Mr. Virmani the idea is to put a spanner in the works of the Govt. that wants to deliver. more
