Instagra, Facebook, Whatsapp selling illegal services

Can the Govt of India formulate some policy that regulates sales of services on ecommerce. Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp are being used to sell prostitution services, drugs and weapons. Which policy is regulating this?

Of course, government must curb these kind nefarious activities on the net, but citizens must have ethics to refrain from these on their own. They need to be prudent about which one to take from these social media and keep distance from all other bad and dirty activities. Not only in social media, sex is traded but across cities. Our TV serials and movies add oil in the fire. more
All activities are carried out in the social media. Let there be some restriction through cyber crime branch. more
Anything given license for use in public domain must have regulations and guidelines.. They must also have social responsibility more
You are right.Govt should take steps to control these nefarious activities. more
self regulation, why get goverment involved in all, Are you ok if govt decides if you should eat chapati of rice for lunch? if not then why you need to be regulated, cant we use our discremination more
You are also right. But every individual is not that capable or perfect to use his or her discretion all the time. So, some sort of regulation is desirable. more
