Science & Technology is still the non-priority area for Indian Govt. Technology for most mean software or smart mobiles and for few its space missions. India is losing most of the money in foreign exchange and infact has large amount as outstanding for purchase of oil. Inspite of this, we do not have any laudable effort towards alternative options of Green energy. Most of the Green energy products researched and manufactured are imported and are found costly for India. Remember this was the case, when we were importing technology for space too. Today we are proud to be cheapest as we have developed our own systems. Alternatives to crude oil are many or atleast imports can be reduced by adding locally manufactured products such as ethylene, bio-diesel etc., Also tapping of energy from wind, water waves, Solar, Hydrogen, Fuel cell, biogas, anerobic systems and many more to be harnessed to meet India's energy demand. Similarly there are many more areas, such as aircraft design & manufacture, where we spend money in billions to procure. Our research labs needs to be activated and focussed on results in timely manner. more
Ayurveda and Yogasana is India ancient wisdom for health. Other than private institutions and manufacturers keeping ayurveda alive, not much is done by Govt, to improve other than building a few ayurvedic colleges. Ayurveda is not readily accepted by modern science or allopathic doctors are there are no internally accepted clinical procedures followed & documented. Infact all Allopathic hospital doctors advice not to use ayurveda medicines since the contents are not well known or monitored. Let alone international acceptance, Yoga is still not practised in our schools, we still have PT class introduced by Britishers. Research on this wisdom with combined benifts of yoga & Ayurveda, can show the world, how not to use chemicals to large extent. It is right time now to pull our ancient wisdom from doll drums to main stream. more
Business in Cash - Businessmen and largely traders, real estate and gold ornament dealers are very comfortable handling cash for obvious reasons. Country loses good amount of money is sales & income tax. Also these are excellent avennues for parellel economy. If this is corrected this could lead to reduction in budget deficit, increasing GDP and host of other good financial indicators. While parellely looking at Swiss banks to resolve our problem, we need to look within us to eliminate any large value cash transaction. Inviting citizens opinion on this one subject itself can improve our economy. more
