Indian Postal Services - Key Issues

Dear Friends

It is critical that a country of our size has a postal system which has high certainty.

Via this post, we ask every member to list the issues they have faced/experienced with the Postal Systems of India.

Once we identify all the issues, we will work on Root Causes and Solutions and submit the collective citizen whitepaper to the Ministry of Communications and IT and any other ministries for necessary action.

Let us share our views and help transform the Postal system of India.

I look forward to your inputs!

I am a subscriber of Journal of Geological Society of India, it is opted religiously on 1of every month at Bengaluru, almost every alternate month a Miss the issue, I can understand delayed delivery, but can it be lost? The local PO advised to lodge a complaint with PO of origin, the PO of origin says ask your local PO! more
I had a bad experience with post office recently.I went to thiruporur post office to enquire whether I could withdraw Bhopal NSE from thiruporur post office..The officer asked me to come next day as he was not aware..Then I went to kelambakkam post office and submitted the NSE.the lady asked me to come after 3 days to collect the cheque. Point1)the post office staff should be aware about the product and other info about the post office..trainings could be handy or a formal induction would be helpful Point2)when the post office was already connected to the network,it could have taken 1 minute to check the amount and next 10 min to issue the cheque..but it's the same sluggish way if working that irritates more
