Imported Foods
We purchased 2 bottles of Ragu Pasta sauce few weeks ago. After joining this circle today I looked at the bottles with a different set of eyes looking for fssai logo and expiry date. To my surprise there is no fssai logo and there is no expiry date or mrp.
The importer hasnt even put in a price tag on there. Isnt this a violation of Rules. I don't think most people are aware that they are on their own if they buy imported products.
Either there should be a sticker saying that or imported foods must also get fssai license.
I would like to hear from other ppl on their experiences. more

It is violation of laws for packaged commodities. By now the Department of Consumer Affairs , GoI, should have taken some action. more

Even in chennai one can find such products. best place to go is in/out store in bp petrol pumps more

In above case " Backward TRACE-ABILITY is required from Shop / establishment to find or have hope of future corrective actions. more
