Illegal activity by standard chartered Bank in India

Due to financial crisis in my life in year 2003 I did settlement of my credit card of standard chartered Bank in India by paying RS 25000 against original outstanding of RS 45000 and for that standard chartered Bank issued me a settlement letter also. In year 2010 standard chartered Bank sold my account as NPA to third party by the name of shaha finlease in Mumbai. Shaha finlease went and report my account in CIBIL and year 2019 it reached to RS 48 lakh on my name in CIBIL with willful defaulter status. I came to this recently so I raised dispute in CIBIL and submitted my settlement letter as proof. CIBIL send email to shaha finlease and shah finlease called me and start negotiate with me for payment if I want to correct my record in CIBIL and I refuse to pay so shaha finlease refuse to accept dispute and CIBIL send me closure report on my dispute saying that CIBIL can't do anything.
As per guidelines of RBI if any bank do the settlement of any outstanding due with any customer than they can't carry forward remaining amount after settlement amount received from customer. Bank have to write off and make outstanding as zero.

In my case SCB did two illegal activity first they collected settlement amount from me and did not clear in their books of account and secondly they declared my account as NPA and sold to third party after seven years of settlement.

I have send an email to SCB seven days before but till date no reply from SCB.

I have consulted with my legal advisor and he is suggesting to file legal case against SCB for cheating with me. more

SCB is know for such unscrupulous methods. Many years back, I had asked SCB to cancel my credit card with zero balance and followed it up with letters. Next year they raised an outstanding based on the annual fee. I did not pay and the next year they raised another outstanding bill with the annual fee plus interest on the outstanding. In refused their phones to settle the outstanding telling them that I had already cancelled the card. After some time they stopped sending me the bills more

What is your current problem. Is it only credit rating?
You send copy of the letter to Cibil asking them to correct the remarks. If you go for legal remedy it is time consuming and expensive.
Do it amicably and logically. more  
What about the settlement letter? Is it genuine or fake. If it is genuine , Does it have any value. What will happen if you do not respond, since you have settlement letter. more  
Since it is very critical & can happen to anyone, it needs to be taken at court of law. I had similar experience sometime back when ICICI Bk tried to levy hefty fincharge on me wrt CC o/s & after my follow up, offered settlement. Now, I am still confused😔 whether it has any bad impact on my credit score!? more  
How did you come to know that the your A/c is sold to shaha finlease as NPA? more
