Honda cars have a fuel pump problem
Honda Cars India Ltd announces voluntary recall for replacing Fuel Pump in 65,651 units of its 2018 select Honda models. The fuel pumps installed in these vehicles may contain defective impellers, which could, over time result in engine stopping or not starting.

The result of my recce with Honda is: Honda is aware of the problem. The cars with fuel pump problem are categorised by their chassis numbers. Owners of such cars have been informed and are also being informed by the workshops, to send in their vehicles for rectification of the error. more
Livpure servicing is worst service, don't buy more
Incidentally , I must also share that the same problem was faced by me for my Honda Civic 2019 !!! A premium segment car - still the basic problem …. I was zapped when the workshop took 20 days to replace the same ( all thru this time the car was in the Honda Service station) . Though it was in warrantee so repair was done free, however its a big scary thing that the failure of the fuel pump will literally strand you in the mod of nowhere !! Very risky preposition by Honda Cars .. more
As owner of a Honda City model of 2018 I spoke with the workshop head on the subject. He was not fully in the picture but mentioned that there were some problems with Amaze. He did not know about other models. I have asked for the workshop manager to talk to me on the matter. more
An extremely helpful information. Members who bought any of these 2018 models would be thankful for it. At the same time, Honda should have details of owners of the defective models and they should feel obliged to address them individually. May be they will also do that, if the knowledge of the defect is fresh for the Manufacturer as well. more
