Honda and wheelchair india profiteering
Gst council reduced gst rate from 28% to 18% on Jan 1 but honda and wheelchair india have not reduced mrp. See attached accessory side wheel for honda activa.
Pre gst rate reduction mrp was 16500 and the same was maintained in jan 19 and feb 19. Please book wheelchair india and honda for profiteering. more

Garima ji, thanks for the post as it really opens our eyes to look into the printed prices before buying . Especially today monthly salaries soaring upto 6 digits or at least close to it many use the cards without even knowing what is the price they paid for the commodity . Immagin for foods and snax , the spender is kept absolutely in the dark. BUT , In this case the MRP of 28% or 18% is levied on the basic Price without any taxes of Rs, 12,890 OK . AT 28 % GST 12,890X 128% = 16,499.2 ok. At current reduced GST of 18% 12,890X118 % = 15,210 [the seller shouldn't over this ] Seller has quoted price is Rs. = 11,500 [Is this more than Rs.15.210 ] NO . So the selling at Rs. 11,500 is not wrong . There is misguidance by the trader while saying save 30 % . He has quoted 30 % on the old price of Rs. 16,500 [that is with 28% ] The actual amount the consumer saves after the 18% GST is Rs. 3,710 , That works to only 24.4 % as Mr Ramanathan Senapati mentioned . When MRP price for above product in Dec 18 & Jan 19 is at Rs.16500 it means the reduced rate of GSt is not reflected in MRP. When offered price is Rs 11500 (30%) means seller is boosting the offer by saying 30% less. Really offer is 24.4% less. more

Mr Harpal Singh ji you are absolutly right. Garima ji always quote examples from online shopping like Amazon etc. and at that time she forgets that in online shopping whatever MRP is mentioned by the seller but the actual selling price offered is much lower than MRP. As you have said that after reduction of GST rate the MRP comes to Rs.15211/- but the company is offering selling price at Rs.11500/- so where is the profiteering in this case? I think no body will be willing to give 15211/- instead of offered price 11500/- more

Ms Garima always gives such examples which have no rationale but being a free platform, she is just misleading the readers. Fixing MRP before taxes is the prerogative of the manufacturer / seller and will depend so many factors over which no one, not even the govt. has any control. The seller can be charged only if he charges GST higher than the prevailing rate. It so happens that some of the readers just do not understand the issue and are all praise for her and so it continues. Sheer wastage of time and effort. She probably has ample time to do all this. more

2. Taking 16500/- at 28% GST, the price at 18% GST works out to 15211.00. Are you willing to pay that instead of Rs. 11500/- being offered? more
