HDFC Hai Hai (4) Tata Sky Bye Bye

So I had to recharge my Tata Sky Account, I did what I have done the past 2 months, using Payzapp (HDFC mobile wallet) scanned the QR code on the Tata Sky screen, "Bad QR Code". Called Payzapp ... "merchant can change the offer at any time ... call merchant". Called Tata Sky. Will raise request, try after 2 hrs. There is NO complaint email ID on the Tata Sky website. Wrot to the only email Id I found, of tha Tata Sky Nodal Officer. for the past 3 days they claim they are not able to contact me on THREE numbers. One is a landline, 2 are cell (no missed calls). There are other ways to recharge but this had better cashback. My point is this: they want you to recharge thru them so they make an offer, but once you do it, they step back. Who is accountable? more

Me and my family have four accounts with HDFC Bank since Nov:1996(Then it was TIMES BANK which was bought over by HDFC Bank) on my return from abroad. After HDFC Bank took over I had only problems. Three complaints to Banking Ombudsman, two Consumer redressal cell and many "email wars",In 2017 I opened an FD online (I was 74 years YOUNG) for ₹7 lakhs but when I received my certificate the additional 0.25% interest was not shown. So when I checked up the Branch Manager told me that they do not have my DOB in the profile. I told him to check my PAN card copy and Aadhar where my DOB is given. He checked and found it was there. Then he argued that at the time of opening my account I had given my passport copy to prove my DOB.That time I was only 53 years YOUNG.So I am not eligible to be a senior citizen even in 2017.Then he argued that that passport has expired and I must produce proof of DOB.Knowing these "smart" Managers I whipped out my new passport (expiring in 2023) and showed him. I also gave two of my earlier FD with senior citizens additional interest. Then he advised me to close the FD prematurely and redeposit again. I lost almost three months and few hundred rupees. My complaint of 2017 is yet to be responded. Now since almost 26% of the asset of HDFC Bank has been bought by Chinese Bank,I withdrew all my money except an amount equivalent to my monthly utility bills. I have a REGALIA, CC, a Easyshop Platinum DC and all of us are "preferred customers". Now Tatasky. For the past few months our community common dish for 72 apartments was behaving erratically and I made a complaint. In 4 hours a service technician came over (They said they will charge ₹150.00 for his visit) checked my set top box, my second set top box and said the problem is with the transceiver mounted on the dish. I sent him up on the 11th floor with our RWA electrician and he found the "transceiver" is defective and he need to go to Rajajinagar to get a new one. He came back after 9 hours and replaced it component,In the meantime many other residents also complained about the reception or frequent brown out. Once it was replaced every thing became hunky dory but 17 other residents were also charged (just deducted from their existing balance). How is that? The transceiver was installed 15 years ago. That is TATA SKY. more
Most of these payment aggregators do not offer email IDs for writing to them. There should be some directives from concerned authority to provide email ID and telephone number where consumer can communicate. more
Anyone can provide the email address of Mr Aditya Puri, Where he will actually receive a message As Mr Puri is preparing to relinquish HDFC Bank and looking for a successor, the Bank has already started going to dogs. Now a days the bank is involved in many scandals. Already one nasty scandal involving Vehicle loans has been unearthed and CMD has personally admitted it. Another scandal now on is on credit cards. And it is done by insiders in the Bank. The persons in the CC division use the credit card information to swindle money from the card holders in association with third party rogues. I lost nearly one lakh rupees on 26 March just on the eave of first lockdown. Although I informed the bank immediately, blocked my card and Emailed a CC Dispute form , they have not undertaken any meaningful investigation because the fraud is caused by their own employee. They give fake excuses like not being able to contact on phone, although I get hundreds of calls on the same phone, including from HDFC Bank trying to cross sell other products like vehicle loans, home loans etc. COVID 19 has become a handy whipping boy in the hands of these thieves. It is a pity that India's largest private sector lender is indulging in such shameful activities . I have found that even tainted banks like YES BANK ( minus Rana Kapoor , of course) or a small finance bank like Ujjivan are much more concerned about their reputation. I can imagine that Mr Aditya Puri must be bowing his head in despair as the bank is moving down the COVID 19 infected drain. Only a Class Action Suite from all depositors and Investors may be able to provide protection to millions of customers who had reposed faith all these days on the Bank and its Founder Promoter. more
I abandoned Tatasky long back for such problems only. They do it repeatedly. Now I have opted for Amazon Fire stick. It is much better and charges depend on use like Netflix etc. It they do not listen give them treatment which they deserve. more
