Hard to Differentiate, pharma companies or leeches

Today i want to share a very serious topic that concerns every human being. Each one of us feel sick and to get rid of the disease we all need medicines. But today the medicines which are manufactured at very cheap prices are being sold at high rates in the market and no one dare dares to raise the question why these companies are selling these medicines at higher rates. There are various higher antibiotics like meropenem, piperacillin, tazobactum etc are being sold at 5 times higher rates. And the actual beneficiary are the chemist and the doctors who prescribe these costly injections and medicines and ultimately the companies get direct benefits. There is a worst senerio in cases of injections, there are doctors who takes direct benefits from the companies and they use inapropriate doses of injections just to give benefits to the company. They dont care whether patient lives or dies. They are very proffesional when it comes to money.
If any question arises in your mind then please ask me. I will try my level best.
And i would be pleased if anything can be done to stop this evil practice. And i will support the initiative and will help in my best ways. Thanking u all.

I would like to appreciate Mr. Khan for raising this important issue of jacked up prices of the medicines, which shows the GREED of MOST of PHARMA companies in INDIA. Let us keep circulating such issues, may be another crusader like Mr. Khan can join the tribe to takeup the issue to the concerned authorities. Kudos to Mr. Khan again. Pl. keep this up and donot stop here only. You shall surely get more to form the CARAVAN. more
Mr. Mohammad Khan, You can contact the senior personnel in the concerned ministry for prevailing on generic medicines manufactures to write in bold "GENERIC MEDICINE" both in inner & outer packing and get the correct MRPs printed on them. Better if can make a complaint in writing by email or get a receipted hard copy for further follow up to the Secretary, minister and Prime Minister. more
I think common man in India does not understand what is Generic medicine. India only has generic medicines (barring very few marketed by Innovators). Pharma companies label these generic medicines with their Brands and market by persuading Drs and Hospitals to prescribe their brand only. Generic medicine means they should be sold under the Chemical salt name. But then Drs need to be forced to write "SALT names" and not the brand names so that people can buy generic medicines (if they are being kept by Pharmacies since they also do not stock them as they offer lower margins and Drs NEVER prescribe them). But Drs get their commission and do not prescribe the generic products and only write those where they get their cut. It is very simple business model my friends between Drs and Pharma companies. more
Mr Imran Khan- you being in the business of selling medicines know more about the malpractices perpetrated by drug companies, hospitals and doctors as per your post. Why don't you come out with some concrete suggestions to eradicate this menace instead of simply offering your support for this causes. Can you take the lead? more
The actual beneficiary in this loot of medicine prices, weather generic or branded or higher antibiotics are drug manufacturers, distribution network, retailers, doctors, concerned departments of govt. As for the generic medicines, there is no method to identify it as generic medicine till the word "generic medicine" is written on outer and inner packing and highly inflated MRPs are corrected per force. more
