Guidance for Sugar Control

I am 62 year old and is diagnosed for Sugar recently. Dr. has prescribed Glycomat 500 MG twice a day. My Post Meal sugar is 228.
Please suggest whether I can take fruits or not ? What precaution I should take. Which food items I should avoid, please suggest. Is there any Homeopathy medicine for it? If yes, please suggest with time duration.

The doctor will not allow you to eat fruits. It will adversely affect his (mal)practice.
If you have enough guts to come out of the doctors' spell (misinformation), make your favorite and available fruits your sole supper. The blood sugar starts coming down and health starts going up. That is the experience of people I know.
For additional benefits:
Stop the medication.
Stop eating old or packed food and use of milk, milk products and fried snacks..

All fruits contain sugar called as fructose..which can increase your blood sugar levels.i would suggest avoid fruits for a while till your post meal sugar comes to 150. Anf continue medications as per advice..Instead you can have super foods like a tomato or a cucumber. more  
First, do not be afraid. This is a life-style disease and so, if you change your life-style, this will reverse. I have successfully done this. 45 mnts of a combination of normal and brisk walk, yoga & pranayama along with zero sugar will do wonders. Become a fitness freak. Shed weight. You may eat fruits but in small portions. Do not take fruits with other carbs. I brought my fasting blood sugar from 176 to 72 level and after meals from 258 to 98. This I did within a month. I shed 10 kgs of my weight from 84 to 74. If you have passion, you will achieve this comfortably. I am 60 years old and leading a normal but better life now. more  
Date, mango and banana contains more glucose. These fruits may be avoided totally.
More problem with white sugar. should be stopped. more
