GST - INTEREST ON LATE FILING OF GSTR3B

We have received a notice for paying interest on late filing of GSTR3B for Sept 2017 and Oct 2017. To my knowledge there was a glitch in GST filing during this period, because of which GOVT had extended the filing dates. Can anyone share any notice during this period? Or give any information about the validity of this notice?

iF you have paid gst via electronic cash ledger beyond extended due dates, you have to pay interest on such cash payments. However there cannot be any interest on ITC used or electronic credit used There is no waiver or reduction of interest on late payment of GST through cash ledger. more
