Gst in 5 star restaurants

Is supposed to be 5% if the room rate is 7500 per night or lower but the catch is even if there is one room in the hotel that is priced above 7500 all guests dining in that hotel have to pay 18% gst. Just not friendly for consumers. More hassles. Might stop going to 5 star restaurants. more

Just because GST has been reduced to 5% in hotels where room rent is Rs.7500/- and below per day the food bills, however, have not come down in line with the expectations of consumers since the government has withdrawn the input tax credit for restaurants where 5% GST is applicable. more
