GST evasion by private tutors and coaching classes

Lakhs of private tutors and coaching classes in India are charging big money and evading GST 100% and income tax 100%.

Most take money in cash few via online transfer no concept of GST.

Consumer Ministry and Finance Ministry need to act. more

Problems are plenty, even the associations are not paying ( Tax returns for GST and IT) taxes. How the states want their financial constraints to overcome? more

This kind of underworld market is quite common everywhere in the world. How can government regulate street-vendors and those who earn using their home as places of business, such as tutors and coaches??? Is there an estimate of how much taxes the government is loosing? Even if a government formulates laws, are they enforceable? One possible way a government can act is to educate people how much more taxes it can collect and what additional services it can offer with those additional taxes collected. It can also inculcate a sense of patriotism. My opinion is to adopt such "soft" measures. Best luck. more
