It is mainly the implementation part of the gratuity and PPF system of deductions from the salary and contribution by the employers in the trade and industry that is causing the hardship to the employees. There is great expectation from the BJP government at the Centre on resolving the issues here. more
Yes Gandhiji, for an amount of Rs. 3 lakhs as gratuity entitlement , pay Rs. 2lakhs as legal/court expenses. And shuttle between lawyer, court and your house for atleast next 4-10 years. Many private limited companies are paying substantial amount as salaries in cash. Hence you are again deprived of a substantial amount in benefits. more
Gratuity act should be amended to make it payable on YEARLY BASIS as against 5 years condition. Employees do leave org. For genuine reasons but loose money on account of non-receipt of gratuity. All benefits should be on Yearly basis. more
Gratuity is mandatory. The problem is that the employers in the private sector do find ways and means to circumvent and bye-pass the law. more
