I think the point raise by Ms.Kohli is indeed valid. If you try to plant a tree even in your locality boundry, some hot head is sure to raise objection. Mughal Garden, President Estate, PM's Office/Residence is out of question. If you go to plant a sappling in the open, NDMC will hand you a challan for encroachment of their land. Luckily the School childrens would have better luck as the plantation drive has media coverage and they get prior permission to plant "N" number of sappling in such and such place for improving environment. more
Plant and donate a tree at the time of birth of a child, and give the daughter(s) among the kids the tree as dowery. Tree plantation could be any where near or far away from your place of living. You can give the tree a botonical name and get the same registered with the Local Self Government as your plant to which watering and caring will be your own responsibility. Try to make a move. more
