All this is eye wash. Nothing will come concrete. Ram Yadav more
A lot many Dhabas in urbanised villages of Delhi and NCR used hard coal (pathar ka koyala) that causes too much of suffocating smoke, particularly in the morning hours when they light up their chulahs/ovens on the road sides. Suggest the Delhi Pollution Control Board to visit the village Kishangarh in Vasant Kunj Police Station area in anonymity, establish the facts and then take action. more
Something is better than nothing, all the same any serious expectation from this terminal symptomatic treatment is not going to be of much value over all. It may on the contrary be the cause for delaying corrective actions. more
Nothing will ever be achieved by such restrictions. What is needed is more grass on unused parts along roads, sweeping of roads by mechanical means for excellent cleaning effect, Watering of roadside parks and central verges where shrubs/ flowers may be grown. Only these things will help, apart from methods by which farmers will not need to burn the fields clear of crop waste. This can only happen if the equipment for this activity is operated through Co-operatives at very low cost, maybe something like Rs. 5 - Rs.10 per acre. more
