Government vacancy required to have reference of Gazetted officer

Advertisement for filling up the post in BEML was published few days back, which had openings across all functions. In the application form, the most disturbing criteria was to provide name and address of a person who is not a relative but not less than a rank of a Gazaetted officera and who knows the applicant personally.

This criteria seems to restrict countless eligible candidates who have worked hard and achieved the milestones without having the backup of beaureaucracy.

Even if this is used as a filter criteria, this is a biased criteria as it gives chance to those candidates only who have backup of goverment officials and also raises question on fairness of the whole process.

Why to restrict competetion in government companies?? more

Please refer page 6 of the application form. Getting signature from Gazetted officer is really tough if your are not known or having any relative working in Government organization. This may not be true for those who have backups but the problem is true for countless eligible candidates who come from the humble background and who have earned the eligibility through therir merits. The post may hurt few but this is reality. more
It was required all the time to get the character of a candidate certified by a Gazetted officer. This is nothing new. But in earlier days such officers were very less in nos. but now the no. is truly very high and not very much difficult to have it. more

The guiding principles of the BEML have been changed to trust, truth and transparency, while fostering technological solutions that are creative, climate-friendly, based in values of simplicity and delivered with speed to its clients based across the Globe. BEML is aligned with India’s ‘Make In India’ campaign to empower the countrymen to achieve significant growth in the Indian GDP magnificently and transform India into a global economic power. However, above Post of yours , does not specify the name or designation or level of the Vacancy like junior level or Senior level, of the Government Vacancy , you are referring to . It is needed to be known to justify your thinking , notionally slated by you. Now-a-days , the Indian Courts-of-Law are very strict including the Supreme Court , if you desire to have recourse to legal remedies. In one instance, the Supreme Court reprimanded the litigant blaming him/her for wasting the time of the Court , Judges and Judicial System besides imposing hefty legal penalty for wasting Court's time. Many High Courts too have reacted the same way by imposing penalty if time is wasted without rational causes of legal materials. Think Twice . Otherwise , you will attract trouble wasting pounds instead of pennies. more
