Good work EPFO

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has simplified the process to withdraw one’s provident fund account balance, from multiple forms to a single online form and this is applicable only to those who have linked their universal account number (UAN) with Aadhaar.

The current online form is an amalgamation of three withdrawal forms - Form 19 for final PF settlement, Form 10C for pension withdrawal and Form 31 for non-refundable PF advance. It does not require employer's attestation or details other than Aadhaar, bank account and PAN card number.

The process requires nature of withdrawal - buying a house or land, settling a home loan, medical expenditure or marriage in the family, and child's higher education, etc., and one is also allowed to withdraw PF balance a year before retirement. more

They have long way to go to solve current issues which has dependency on employer. There is no easy way to lodge complain about employer. Even if anybody complain about it nobody will pay attention. more
i am unable to link my UAN with Addhar as the name is different on both and my employer does not exists so my PF got stucked. Is there any way to get it withdraw. more
With EPFO the problems are similar to those pointed out here by Dr.L. N. Rathore and Shri Debasish Chowdhury and this is leading to corruption. And, wherever there is any information required from the companies where one has worked for years, the documentation work never gets completed and it is where corruption creeps into the system. more
