Good move by FSSAI

It has passed a circular that from March 1, 2019 eateries have to maintain a record of oil used up on a particular date and to dispose off the oil to agencies authorized by the government body.

These rules will come into effect from March 1st, 2019 and the FSSAI has directed food safety commissioners to initiate the enforcement of these rules.

Let us hope that the things will improve more
Creating rules and regulation done at AC rooms with 1-10 members. Around 95% govt staff not want to go to field to work. They ask and collect papers only from comfort of office. Enforcement is major task which can be easily omitted by telling less staff. more
Yes. Our constitution has so many rules which are also amended and additions made which are voluminous and no one but an expert can really know the nuances. The original rule has to be read with all the changes that take place over time and one truly gets confused as to what it really amounts to in the end. Similarly, the Law and Order, Income Tax, GST etc undergo several changes and no final update is given. All the changes are just added making it difficult for everyone except the expert who is in touch with the particular field on a day to day basis. There are so many laws on record but when it comes to implementation it is a nought. So, it is useless to be carried away by the changes in the rules/law. more
Most of the rules and regulations issued by FSSAI are strongest in the world even when compared with FDA, EU and Australia & New Zealand but the way of implementation is at bottom of all and worst part is an enforcement as it turns in to money making machine for enforcement authorities. more
As long as corruption exists, nothing can be done. Today the present government claims corruption free, at least to an extend, which may be true. But in lower lever, inspectors any department, traffic police, other police department officials, RPF, Railway police are fully corrupt. Even Ticket Checking staff of Railways are corrupt. LAW MAKER IS A LAW BREAKER. more
