GOD save UP

I went to a minister's house with an application for a mandir causing noise from loud speakers from 4.30 AM. There are about 8 apartment complexes surrounding the mandir (incidently, it is an encroachment on irrigation dept. land) and all residents the freedom to live without noise pollution is not there despite requesting the police authorities.
This is my experience which I had on going to the minister's house....
The minister was out of station. There was a small room where someone accepts complaints. One person, who seemed to be doing so,was sitting there with about 3 or 4 more people.
We put up our case. One of the persons sitting there said to me-" hindu is complaining against hindu, why don't you complain against the muslims ?" My colleague said that why was he deviating the issue, as our problem was with the mandir, to which the person replied-why shouldn't the loud speakers play ? We went into an argument, I told my colleague that nothing is possible in UP, let's go. I came out, my colleague kept sitting. After some time he came out. He told me that the person who had an argument with me was the minister's father.
Now this was the scene. How can you expect things to improve if father's of ministers are running the show and trying to convert everything into cast-ism. I am not very optimistic even though the high court has issued orders.GOD save UP. more

This does not have to do with mandir or what other religious institution. As a matter of fact, we all understand that we are making a mockery of our gods by excessive commercialisation of religion. Making posters and banners with photos of gods which are then thrown away on the streets to be trampled upon, putting up fancy Chinese lights, use of decoratives and toxic paints on the murtis especially during Dussehra which are then dissolved into holy river water. Is this how we have to project supremacy of our religion? Playing high volume DJ music during festivals is like an insult to gods. During Chhath, Karwa Chauth, Grahan and every excuse under the sky, the retards in my apartment also hire DJ groups who play HONEY SINGH songs!!! Like seriously??? What is wrong if the likes of Anil Vijay and others wish to have these mentals arrested for their stupidity? As Hindus we ourselves are enough to bring complete disgrace and trample our religion and yet carry swords around claiming we are defenders of the religion. more
Anil Vijay Ji ,will u pl tell this problem whether crop up recently or continued from long time. If u r really a true citizen U have to analyze the things from last 20 yrs vis a vis last one year. Lucknow is the most dirty & polluted city even though it is a capital, whether this happens during last one year or from so many years, Are we all are not responsible, Have u lodged any issues earlier also, if so what was the outcome, I am not a follower of any political parties, but can say that some difference has been seen & we should wait for minimum three years atleast to see the relatively improved condition in U.P. more
Having full regards to the right to live peacefully, I have a few questions in mind - Since when the said apartments and temple are existing? Since when this problem has cropped up? Were any efforts made earlier to this affect? Answer to these questions may bring in some clarity. more
Most of the comments have messed up the issue. The complaint was against noise pollution.Learned people have tried to pull it into religious feelings. Very sad. more
Priests inflict their sermons, politicians their propaganda and wenders sell their wares on microphones They consider it their birth right. No court will be able to stop it, only public consciousness may stop it one day in distant future. more
Dear Mr Vijay, you may Christian person and feeling problem with temple. Can you tell me, Is temple was built first at that location or you moved in that apartment. If you moved later in that apartment, why you have not checked before moving in that area. Second, thousands of people like that but you one person dislike because of christian, can be things change for one person. pl think about your mindset for other religions. more
It is unfortunate that no one likes to be specific. People usually dob't give specific particulars,- like Names, Locations, Addresses, Date and Time, etc. It seems that more often than not the complainants are Politically motivated, rather than socially aware. more
sir, here is a very specific issue that is disturbances due to noise during performing pujas with a loud voice. I remember, when I was in Kolkata and preparing for my 10th board exams in the year 1982 . During Durga puja, it is a normal practice that mostly songs and prayers are aired via Loudspeakers.
My father went to the puja committee and requested them to slow down the volume of the loudspeakers. I was surprised that the members of the committee not only apologised but they reduced the volume to almost nil and that was also through out 4 days.

Thinking of the festive mood of the locals, my father and myself were felt for the sentiment and asked them to increase the volume little more to the extent it did not affect my studies. They said that sir, Durga Puja will come every year but this exam ( Board) would come only once in everybody life. We should give your child a a peaceful environment to study.

So, this should be the mentality of the people. If, we ourselves try to understand ourselves problem and live as a family, I think we need not pray to any Police or, minister.

With this story, I humbly request all to create awareness among the mass to make the society in peace and harmony. Thanks....
