Glad to see FSSAI citizen engagement

Glad to see FSSAI using this new platform of local circle to connect with people. Real benefit will emerge when local food commissioners and inspectors have to mandatorily connect and address issues raised by general public in their area of jurisdictions.

Each one of us should also call our food safety commissioners office and request them to engage. Will help if FSSAI shares the phone numbers. more

The subject falls into two laws: one at the national level and then the state level. Mr Hanumantha Rao has provided the link. If you scroll down you will see the two authorities mentioned. The link is reproduced here again for convenience : https://foodlicensing.fssai.gov.in/indexsl.aspx more
In line with my earlier comment , I believe this link http://www.fssai.gov.in/home/about-us/organization-structure.html may provide phone numbers and email addresses of some officers in the hierarchy to put-forth our queries to try to get some action. more
Mr Rao is correct. I do not agree that those who complain are cry-babies. FSSAI is required to take a view on the complain as appropriate. If action was taken on Maggi, people who complain cannot be faulted but to absence of trustworthy source of information. Most posts here can be considered as seeking info and could be handled by information officers in each of their offices and this being an interactive platform action taken could also be communicated First task for FSSAI is to establish faith with people that their view points attended to. This has been done byMinistry of Foreign Affair, Railways, PMO, etc. I hope FSSAI will make this effort productive for all participants. Over time serious issues will be raised and frivolous complains will wane. more
We have many crying babies who keep on complaining about almost everything including food. This habit will discourage many innocent food makers. Therefore, while attending on complains authorities should be careful that they do not fall pray to these crying babies and trouble food business. What about food we eat at home. In most homes if you notice food is not in accordance with norms decided by law. We have seen tamasha on Maggy. We have been eating it for several years and nobody has suffered, even so, we have seen how that makers was troubled. I do not want anything like this to repeat with other smaller food makers. more
I agree with Mr. Vishal Khanna and hope his request will be given due consideration. more
