Geyser Blast- Horrible- Today's Incidence.
We have Venus Geyser in Bathroom. (Got Installed in 2006).
I switched on the Geyser, After 25-30 minutes I checked if Geyser light went off because of auto-cutoff, but it was not. I took it casually and thought to wait for some more time.
I thought may be it is taking much time because of too cold water these days.
After another 20 minutes I heard water flood sound from Bathroom.
I rushed towards bathroom and checked, there was water coming from Geyser with full pressure, Bathroom was full of steam because of too hot water.
For 1 second, I got shocked what to do..my heart was running at double the speed.
I was not able to see the switch as bathroom was full of steam.
but since water was going in bathroom switches, so I had stop it.
Next second I ran towards main switch board and put them down.
and called our society electrician and plumber.
Electrician came and he only turned off water supply and checked the switches for any current.
There is big whole under the geyser which got opened and hot water was coming from that opening continuously with full pressure.
This electrician told me 4 days back same incident happened in our neighborhood. ( Racold Company Geyser).
Last year my Friend told me this incident happened in her neighborhood. She told me to take care when kids are taking bath and Geyser is on.
Although we cannot do much to avoid these kind of incidents, but can check if Geyser has cut-off automatically after 20-25 minutes.
Same with pressure cooker, we should check if it blows whistle after a certain time.
I am sharing this incidence, as I saw other 2,3 people shared incidents happened with them/ or in their neighborhood.

Rajani. 1. I have installed my Gysers outside my Bathrooms. If any accident does take place, no damage to the the Human Beings will be done. 2. Very important to check the Thermostat regularly 3. Very Important to check the over flow Valve regulary. 4. Preventive maintenace of all Gadets, Instruments, Pressure Cooker, Geysers, Cars, including Human Beings is very Important. Regards Rajani.
