Genuineness of food supplements bought online
Many a time I buy food items, supplements etc online and the manufacturing companies are not so famous but they do mention FSSAI number on the labels.
My question is how can I ensure that it is a genuine product as described on the label and does it meet the requirements of fssai?
Where can I find details of FSSAI licence number, that we see on the labels of packaged food items?
Other day I bought "Vista Nutrition Vegan Omega 3 DHA - 90" & Taurine 500 mg. The fssai number on taurine container label is: 12612012000064. I surfed the net but couldn't get the required information.
Some products are very costly. Also can't compare the prices as no benchmark is available. Does the fssai keeps the record of good and bad companies?
I request fssai to provide the consumer friendly site where one could derive the desired information regarding the genuineness of food products bought online. more
abof.com cheated me by sending me 7 defective clothes. After several phone calls for 10 days they finally took the goods back but are refusing to return my cash. Aditya Birla has a policy that even if the goods are defective & returned by the customer, cash paid as COD basis will not be returned. Second policy is that if the product selected by the customer is not available, they are free to send similiar looking products, without informing the customer. The parcel was packed with brown packaging. Hence, I didn't know that the products inside are completely defective. They have put points in lieu of cash on the website. I can only availl a discount by purchasing more products from them or buy other products only from their website. Since 6 months they are refusing to return my money back. more
packed foods are always a danger irrespective of how famous the company is better purchase only products which will be present in open gunny bags even if it is milk better to purchase bottled one more
When a cultured country like India do not recognise it's own culture and follow it, outsiders will come and train us what to do and what not and we without any hesitation follow them religiously and get ourselves fooled. We have well experienced how the health standards, quality standards, pollution standards, food safety standards, veterinary standards, agricultural standards entered into our country and their consultants from the western world riding on us. We with all our 100 years old knowledge listen to them as if those thigs are new to us. Those consultants enjoyed their life earned enough and when understood there is nothing to contribute left us to our own fate. Please encourage Indian and Indian institutions. We are fed up with this foolish western management jargons. The US president rightly said that my policy is America first. His policy is well defined in those words. Our Modi is also right. We, the people of this country has only one commitment - stand with him. Jai Hind. more
Role of FSSAI should be clear to public. more
