FSSAI - Should it not start regulating animal food and supplements too?

Should FSSAI not regulate feed, feed supplements, cattle food & supplements, poultry feed & supplements and fishery supplements? For these are the vital game changers of human health as well. Animals consume the feed and feed supplements. And then humans consume those animals. My question is - does the animal health not determine human health ultimately? Then why should such a vital determinant remain ignored by the purview of FSSAI? Does cattle meat, chicken, eggs and fishes not constitute human diet? Then why should the FSSAI be allowed to ignore this aspect so blissfully? USA and Europe do have stringent checks and measures to take care of this aspect. Why should we not have them in place, in time? Are Indian citizens not worthy of such stringent checks and measures on their dietary needs? more
