FSSAI permits colours in foods

I was looking to find information on foods where fssai permits colours. None of the links on fssai site worked so finally i got this from a news site. Can FSSAI please confirm these and also if there is information/research on safety of these colors, please share the same.

Food products in which FSSAI permits colour as additive

1) Ice-cream, milk lollies, frozen desserts, flavoured milk, yoghurt, ice-cream mix-powder

2) Biscuits including biscuit wafer, pastries, cakes, confectionery, thread candies, sweets, savouries (dalmoth, mongia, phululab, sago papad, dal biji only)

3) Peas, strawberries and cherries in hermetically sealed containers, preserved or processed papaya, canned tomato juice, fruit syrup, fruit squash, fruit crushes, fruit cordial, jellies, jam, marmalade, candied crystallised or glazed fruits

4) Non-alcoholic carbonated and non-carbonated ready to serve synthetic beverages including synthetic syrups, sherbets, fruit bar, fruit beverages, fruit drinks, synthetic soft-drink concentrates

5) Custard powder, Jelly crystal and ice-candy

6) Flavour emulsion and flavour paste for use in carbonated or non-carbonated beverages only under label declaration more

1. We urgently require regulations on Chemicals in first place with clarity on FOOD and NONFOOD. 2. In case of FOOD Chemicals strict compliance on QUANTITY of useage must be established for human safety. In Short Safe FOOD Colors with Verifiable- monitored Quantity Useage is needed more  
Let the colours does not harm the body. more  
May be a food cess, like swatch bharat cess, may be helpful to have better inspection of food offered in the market. A new cess will provide funds to the concerned department to have more staff and do better. Since every service is chargeable now, let us have this too. more  
There are thousands of laws on Food Control act with hardly any enforcement . Fact is that almost 80 % of food items are sold through road side eateries , Dhabas , rarhries , hawkers where there is just zero inspection w.r.t. how and where stuffs are made and served . They playing with health of the people and the officials are simply sleeping . more  
food inspection offices family may also using these type of product. If some rule to be made and given a target 1 issue reporting every day/ 10 inspection every day. All are coming in line. Target based achievement and performance makes a person/group perfect. more
