FSSAI action
Just read online on financial express that fssai is mandating that all imported food products brought into India should have atleast 60% shelf life remaining.
This is a very positive move. Many of the importers have been importing and marking a date of import and not even displaying date of manufacture.
Great that fssai is listening and acting fast. I am assuming print of manufacture date and best by date is mandatory on all imported food products. more

date of mnf.,date of import and date of expiry should be a must and the relevant ministry's order should be gazetted, to give it full weight more

what about shelf life mentioned in labels ? products with reduced shelf life are sold on e commerce sites at a discount? more
