Free mri and ct scan for those with income less 3L

WHAT HAPPENED:Free MRI and CT scans at eight private centres for Delhiites earning less than 3 lakh annually

WHAT IT MEANS: Wait for free CTs and MRIs will get shorter from the current two years for an MRI because there is just one functioning MRI machine between 34 Delhi government hospitals

WHAT NEXT: Delhi government plans to get 10 CT Scan and 5 MRI machines on a PPP-model in state-run hospitals more

These are one of the many ways of making money. more
These are just gimmics by the Delhi Govt. MRI's and CT scans are being prescribed by doctors in private hospital even when these are not necessary . Govt should first provide free medical advise and medicines. These tests are needed in very rare cases. more
Are the MRI machines though installed not functioning or the machines are not even installed. more
Such offers are known to seldom work. How would they want the patient to prove that their income is less than 3L a year? And, if they actually do it, would they be believed? You don't have to wait for two years to get a CT scan or an MRI done in New Delhi. Staff in clinics produces a yawning wait for patients which are not there. The Delhi government certainly need to focus more on providing the Delhi denizens with medical and several other facilities than protesting against the rupee demonetization. more
