Food Safety in Delhi - Inputs Sought

FSSAI (The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India ) has enabled a Food Safety circle available via -
http://bit.ly/foodsafety-community

We would like to seek your inputs on what are the various issues you see in regards to food safety in your city in Delhi. These could be in regards to artificial ripening, packaged food, food product itself, restaurant hygiene levels, street food, adulteration, etc.

We would also look at how district food safety officials can be given access to the circle followed by a city level food safety/consumer circle in your city.

We look forward to your inputs! more

*A most interesting book every library should have and all must read.
Author has lived in Canada. Canada and Marshall McLuhan figure a lot in the
book. 'Machine shall do for man what Man could not do for himself'.It is no
mere utopia. May happen anytime a la McLuhan! A trenchant satire on
Western-style democracy as it prevails in India today.Fact and fiction
entwine and abrase to sharpen the edge of satire.Regards,Dr.Usha Sharma*

I feel the most dangerous in food industry is water and leftover food. Inspectors must first make water safe as except a few brands bottled water being used by good industry is the culprit to unhealthy food. Reuse of leftovers is unhealthy. more
