Food brands mislead us

Before serving your child a glass of 'healthy' fruit juice pls read the label behind it. 37 teaspoons of sugar in one litre of this Real juice. A 200 ml serving contains more sugar than what a child is supposed to have in a day! And that glass of juice isnt the only thing your child is having.

How FSSAI lets them do their sugar marking per 100 ml of juice is designed to mislead consumers more

You are very correct SUJATA JI. It is strange why FSSAI is not looking to this aspect. more
Since Women have started Working, it has given rise to so many House Hold issues. Earlier they used to have time for House Hold Works and were less dependent on External/Commercial Help. The above case is a live example. Natural Fruit Extracts have its own benefits. Instead of what are being Marketed. They may not contain Natural things but will contain preservatives and other unwanted components. more
The sugar content apart, how do you ensure that the bottled liquid you are serving to your children are really fruit juice or artificial one? Why not with little patience you get real juice extracted from fruits at home! Till a decade back every house hold used to compulsorily have a juicer in their kitchen mainly for the purpose of extracting fruit juice. Medical science also strongly advocates for homely extracted fruit juice but today we run short of time and patience and depend for everything readymade resulting in going on complaining unitiredly. more
Yes, the advertisements are misleading and steps should be taken. more
I had been pointing out the contents of Fruit juices to my friends for the last 15 years. Ms Sanjana has narrated nicely. more
