Follow Nagaland on Junk Food policy

Sale of junk food including chips, soft drinks and fried foods have been banned in Nagaland both within the school campuses as well as in a radius of 200 metres from each school.

I have asked MP CM to consider the same via Madhya Pradesh local circle. FSSAI may also share guidelines with each cm and food department/minister. more

All junk foods contain preservatives and should be banned. more
India used to be a place where one could get fresh made snacks anywhere - now its all replaced by stupid junk food items. It should all be banned! more
I agree with you with regard to the banning of chips/soft drinks near and aound schoo l campuses. Though there ar stringent laws on adulteration, unfortunately the Central State Goivt are awakening only some mishap happens. This is ridiculous. The elected Govt shows scant respect to such type of laws. It may not be surprise that the food adulteration dept, has got instructions and powers to seize the hotels ,whenever they find the standard of the food served is below certain standards. Did we hear from any of the states that the hotels are seized on account poor heiginc conditions. Despite Courts and the consumer forum are angry on such aspects, the Govt Machinery is a silent. Latest examples of ILLICIT liqour causing the death of gullible public ,what stringent action has been initiated on the culprits. Lot social media shall make hue and cry for few days latter on the matter dies on its own. I fully support for banning such type of food andbanning the sale near and around school premises. more
Unless it is found hazardous to health we should not ban any food around streets. What FSSAI did with Maggy we saw. Enough of banning business. One day we will have to ban food prepared at home! What guarantee we have that food we eat at home is hygienically proper? more
