Very detailed frame of rules you have suggested.Wish the ministry officials study and accept it .Such microscopic observations are needed,to correct the bad implementation . more
After concluding present Budget proposal, GOI need to think of the issues notified in this Post for PROMPT IMPLEMENTATION THAT REMOVES LOTS OF CALAMITIES OF FARMERS FOREVER please. Otherwise, there will be no use and this will also go decades together like the issues of PDS that had been under permanent Corrupt practices. AND, NONE CAN HELP "EVER SUFFERING REAL FARMERS" more
The vote bank politics has spoiled the farmers and put too much pressure on the Central & State Governments. The farmers who has sold bumper crop of rice, wheat etc. do not repay even a single penny to the Lending Bank and instead depot the sale proceeds in a different bank or keep the amount in cash at home. The crops should be insured against fire, draught to protect the farmers. The Govt. bodies should educate the farmers to avoid excess plantation of any commodity to avoid glut. Safe storage facilities/marketing help should be extended through private sector/Cooperative bodies to ensure reasonable return to farmers through out the year. Today, the farmers are getting free power, highly subsidized pesticides/insecticides/farm equipments/seeds/ canal water/loan waivers etc. even then they keep on agitating on getting instigated by the ruling or opposition parties. Even the Govt. employees who have got secure job also join the farmers strike and vice versa. It seems the revenue collected by the Govt. should be spent on the farmers and Govt. employees as they remain on strike throughout the year to get their never ending demands accepted. more
Cheating the real and poor Farmers with Adulterated Fertilizers, Pesticides even swallowing Loans/Grants intended for these Agri producers indeed is more than BETRAYAL which had been decades together cornering the very Prime Sector.
Strict laws imposing imprisonment together with mandating compensation of Losses suffered with dedicated POLICING AT THE CONCEPT OF NATIONAL INTEREST. more
Three areas where poor/marginal Farmers need help : 1) in case of extreme drought ,2) in case of crop damage following flood and 3) erratic market behavior .Bank loan waiver is a bad economics and should not resorted to at all. I understand that there is a crop insurance scheme in place in our country but not implemented with urgency and publicity. In case of declared drought/flood, and based on transparent criteria, crop insured fund ,including credit component should be transferred to the banking account .on line. The farmers would pay bank their loan components to the banks out of that proceeds as well. It has to be a political neutral decision. The role of FCI kind of purchasing units for other agricultural products is also crucial and a network of warehouses would also be needed. The Central Government should take the lead. more
Apart from these natural issues , main causes are [1] Adulteration [2] Excessive Cropping and lifting . more
