Experience with lift manufacturers

On Thursday a society in Noida had a major lift incident and a 70 year old lady lost her life. Can we all please share our experiences with all the lift companies when it comes to maintenance like Kone, Johnson, otis, mitsubishi, schindler, and the one that was being used in this society thysenkrrup. And any others that i dont know off.

Collective experience sharing will make us all wiser more

More automation can only prevent such accidents with a proper installation. The best lift doors will not even touch you while you try to enter when the doors are closing.... more

The onus of lift maintenance lies with the apartment association. If there is no association, then the owners and residents have to ensure that the lift is maintained monthly. Any issues should be reported to whoever is maintaining the lift. There needs to be an AMC for lift maintenance. more
