EPF transfer to new company...

It is understood recently that PF account need not be transferred when one employee is left job and joined in other organisation and his deducted PF amount will be in the same account. Recently it is seen that when person left one organisation and joined other one, he got new PF account number and as such deducted amount is being put in that new account even he has one UIN number. Then how one account is sufficient when employee left job and joined other one.Pl clarify.... more

The EPF transfer is completely a failure. It was promised with a lot of fanfare, ended up with multiple registrations with respect to UAN / UID, etc, from your side, from your company side, from your old company side. etc., My old EPF accounts are still loitering with lakhs of rupees, and me losing valuable interest as the government is not in favour of providing interest on old EPF accounts. Why? It is still money, and the employee is not dead. I still need money. The brokers are hard to find, over priced, and nothing in the websites are automated, except the one word reply "Disposed". The middle class are penalised for the failure of the government to distribute wealth in a fair and equitable manner., for no fault of the the middle class. more
The UAN portal earlier allowed you to connect all the accounts with the same UAN....but recently it has been upgraded and I found only my last account is linked and earlier ones vanished.....EPFO is really a Employee Pain Forum indeed....Regards On Fri, 22 Dec 2017 19:43:21 +0530 "H Rao" wrote > more
When you join new institution , you have to mention the UAN number to the new employer without fail and the letter should be acknowledged and kept it in your personal file. Afterwards you have to verify the account continuously for the next few months and try to get the acknowledgement slips issued by EPF annually. more
