EPF refund
EPF does't provide for refund during service. One can take loan for certain purposes within rules. After leaving service and not getting employment for some prescribed period one can get refund but not during service unless he attains retirement age under the Act i.e. 58 years.
Now you should find out your eligibility for loan for the purpose for which you need loan and apply through present employer and it is necessary that you get your accumulated fund to your account with the present employer. more

I have put in less than 5 years of service / contribution to EPF before being deputed to UK. Please inform if the total amount comprising of own contribution, company contribution and interest, is taxable. In order to reduce tax payable, can we withdraw in instalments. more

Good feedback but EPFO once declared that they will not pay interest on inactive accounts and the transfer process is dangerous and sits silently without any feedback....you mean one should start chasing after retirement....good idea for work(social service) after retirement... Mr.Vijay Agarwal, The points mentioned by you with regard to withdrawal of PF is in order. You cannot use this account as our Savings Bank account in the Bank. But on emergencies and need basis within the PF frame work you can withdraw as non refundable loan such as for buying house, Children Marriage, Hospitalization etc. more
