Empty Xiaomi box received, consisted of everything except for the device.
I had ordered for Redmi Note 7S and was suppose get delivered of the same by 25th of May (Saturday), 2019. However, was received on 27th (Monday) when I wasn't home & my mom received it on my behalf while I made the payment online and when opened the outer covering; the seal of the box was broken and there was a cut on the frontside of the box. Shocked of this I called customer service to which I was asked to send pictures of the box. I obeyed and sent them a picture. I was waiting for an email confirmation for them to tell me to open the box which I received 48 hours later. I opened the box just to find nothing except for the user manual & the phone cover inside the box. All of the unboxings is videotaped and sent to the team.
The team has confirmed us multiple times on call that we would receive a new product and we do have recordings on the same. But after more than 100 hours of waiting we hear from the investigation team; Mr. Sayyed stating we cant proceed ahead with the investigation without sending the outer covering of the packet. Going back to the call on 27th we were asked to send the only picture of the box and nothing else. It was the Xiaomi team's responsibility to inform us about keeping the outer packaging as well. And the customer service team could have been more informed about what requirement investigating team has.
This whole experience has been extremely traumatic as their representatives have told me that there's nothing that they can do about my missing device. I seek help. more
