ELECTRONIC MEDIA REPORTING O THE PRESENT DAYSF

I am presently out of India and having more time to listen to the news/debates/ discussions on various news channels. I have been lucky to listen to the reputed news channels, but unfortunately to my dismay, these channels appear to be obsessed with one and only one issue that is of Lalit Modi during the last 10-15 days. I now wish to share my views/impression, which many may not agree for different reasons:
1. The Congress and the electronic media are crying at the top of their pitch. What happened to them when Lalit Modi, the so called fugitive, flew away directly under their nose. Congress was in power at the Centre in 2010 when Lalit Modi flew away, and the Media was as free those days also as it is today.
2. The BJP Government led by Mr Narendra Modi came to power at the Centre, in May, 2014. What steps did the Media take to question the then UPA Government , for allow Lalit Modi to flee out of India in 2010 and force it to bring him back, during this period?
3. Modi Government came to power in May 2015, did the Media sincerely made efforts to point out the impropriety to the previous Government- the Congress led UPA Government, and force it to expedite the proceedings to bring him back to India? This could not be done for a period of good 4 years. Someone may ask Why?
4. This issue has been raised only for the last 2 weeks. Now it is publicised so much so that the larger part of the news bulletins sometimes and other programmes such as debates and discussions is devoted to this issue. I am pained to think that what other countries may be wondering about the happenings in India.
5. Did the Media thought for a moment as to who was responsible for his ( Lalit Modi) fleeing the Country. Mudslinging on the Modi led Government at the Centre is not going to solve any problem in the larger interest of the Country. More over it is not such a big issue which could in anyway compromise the integrity, Independent and Excellent Stature of our Great Country and its Government.
6. Unfortunately, the media is giving, now a days, more coverage to the NATIVEGE AND CRIME NEWS, as if there is nothing in the country and the world over which could be educative and inspiring to our people. This view is shared by many people, with whom I had an opportunity to discuss. This sort of reporting may make sensational headlines, but side by side vitiate the minds of our youth and the people having dormant criminal tendencies.

I, therefore, humbly appeal to the MEDIA to be objective in their approach without any favour and fear (of any clash of their interest) and must be proactive to guide the government functionaries, irrespective of their any political affiliation or otherwise to ensure productive work for the betterment of the people, whom it claims to represent.
Let me make it clear that I am neither affiliated to any political party nor I am a sympathiser of any of the Political Parties. I have my independent way of thinking and expressing my views, not intending to hurt sentiments of any body. If my above expression has hurt anybody, I offer my apology more

This is the system attitude found, practiced , carried , extended which only creates illusion , finds wrong roots , attains the set goal . NONE INCLUDING THE LONG RULING CONGRESS AND THE PUBLIC/CIVIC & CONSTITUTIONALLY RESPONSIBLE JOURNALIST INSTITUTIONS DO NOT AND NEVER PREFER / ROOT THE ISSUES TO THE COURT OF LAW. This is the only politically political attitude that costs nothing and never help either the public or the nation. This is a sort of political play to dilute / weaken the ruling while planting mis-understanding among the people . more
The so called free media n India is totally biased, as they have heavy invovlment and investments from political bigwigs or they are stealthily connected to people in power through relatives working at the top in various of such free media outlets be it newspapers, TV or Radio. Their task is cut out and they are just doing their jobs like any other slaves in any outfits. So much for free press! more
media targeting BJP- 1. No cry over vadra deal 2. Sharda chit fund 3. PACL operation. 4. UP NRHM, promotion/posting/transfer game. 4. coalgate, spectrum, commonwealth, NGO fund, diff deals in UPA, subsidy game etc. more
The questions are pertinent & have been asked by BJP spokes person in all the debates. But the 24x7 news media especially Times now does not take these questions. They think only they have right to ask question & nobody else. They think they are the govt makers. Media should explain what is the quid pro quo in only damaging the good running govt. As we have witnessed these debates are uncivilized without giving opportunity to the accused. More than 5 people bombard on one person. It is autocratic. It is one way traffic. Anchor's arrogance is clearly visible. I fully agree media has right to bring the facts to the public. In stead, media is making it an ego issue to boast their channel has made some minister to resign. They think it is a feather in their cap. They are doing this only to raise their TRP by flashing slogans like "Exclusive from Times Now" & " We set the agenda & others follow" etc. Every channel claim they are the one who exposed but the fact is that this is exposed by UK media. I wonder is their any control on such media more
