Education Services Online and offline

Many parents and students are running from pillar to post to get their money back once they realize the courses they signed up for are worthless. There is no regulatory oversight of this sector and some time back BIS on localcircles had sought inputs for education serviced but they haven't come with rules yet.

Consumer Affairs dept must consider making rules for this sector. It is a major pain point for those facing it. more

This is a big issue. Why are there no rules on coaching classes more  
The lack of any government directive leads to such situation. more

They don't worry about providing education, They just worry about earning and earning only more  
Why have not the parents first verified the quality of teaching imparted by the online service providers before making the upfront payment? Anyway, write to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs by Regd. Post. See if they act. But do not stop at this. Even otherwise, you can issue a Notice to the party to refund within 15 days failing which you can file a Complaint in the District Consumer Commission and claim refund with 9% interest, and also the Cost of Rs 10,000 and Compensation of Rs 10,000 for harassment and mental agony. more
