Eating Out and Essentials inflation vs reported numbers

Before 2020: it used to cost 350-400Rs/person to eat out (decent restaurant, Delhi).

Now, it is easily 650-700Rs. Almost 100% inflation.

Eggs, dairy, vegetables, fruits (depending on your city) would have around 40-70% inflation.

Yet official inflation stays at 7-8% more

We try to avoid going to restaurants to eat and eat at home normally .I do not believe restaurants are healthy and hygienic more
Garima Sharma - wow that you were able to spend Rs.350 to Rs.400 per person. Lucky you. We can only afford to spend Rs.150 for 2 persons. We get good food at a reasonably good ambience as well and yet people like you want to grumble just to gain mileage and popularity in social media. more
Prices of food grains and fuel have gone up by more than 40%. We should consider cost of inputs also. more
Why government is not able to control the cost of whole supply chain? more
People are themselves responsible for most of such agonies. They have stopped asking ,instead support such issues in defence of the politicians ,either for their petty gains or because of their utter stupidness. They condemn those ,who ask questions or raise issues. So nothing can improve here . more
