E-commerce loosing its trust from online consumers, need strict rules to be applied

The e-commerce site should be penalized for using brand names and selling fake products. Last week I had ordered a leather belt and the product description mention it to be a pure leather belt but when we checked the product it was rexine, not leather. Once any strict e-commerce rule comes to avoid duplicate product both seller and consumer will retrieve the value to their money. more

The eCommerce companies care little for customers in this country only whereas Amazon and other international companies are providing 1st class services in Europe & American countries. Since our government agencies utterly fail to ensure strict compliance of Consumer Protection Laws by the service providers, we the consumers suffer the most. more  
Even purchasing through AMAZON.COM, most of the time different material of less value other than ordered have been received. more  
As the marketing is done by e com sites they should be primarily responsible for verifying the product description matches with the product and product quality and should be made to replace or refund the product/money more  
Few e-commerce site sites sale few products in unscrupulous way. It would be helpful to consumers that name of the site along with name of product brands should be displayed to this consumer forum site. In this way they would be more accountable. more  
The problem with online platforms is that because of one unscrupulous agency, all others are getting a bad name. more
