DTH looting public

I am using TATASKY from last so many years. Earlier I used to subscribe for six months/yearly. After the recent regulations, I decided to subscribe on monthly basis, which is costlier than earlier subscription for my choice of channels.
I was out-of station since 12JUN2019 and my subscription was expired on 13JUN2019. After I returned home on 24JUN2019 I subscribed for one month expecting that the subscription will be valid upto 23JUL2019. However, to my surprise, the subscription was made valid only upto 12JUL2019. This is the looting of public without providing the service.
By the new regulations, public is benefitted or looted further........... more

I do not pay monthly but keep balance by paying a little more so that the companies can't do these dirty tricks. I think the Government should allow fiber optic cable operators so that there is healthy competition. more  
@ AA Jose, I really appreciate the way Shri AA Jose has appreciated TRAI and GoI. Sir, can you just illustrate as to what were the charges being paid earlier for FTA and what are the charges now being paid for FTA. Lets compare on apple to apple basis. Neither a single paid channel earlier nor now. We shall debate further on the issue after getting above details from you.
Govt of India through TRAI had cleverly enabled DTH operators to make huge money that too just prior to announcement of elections. Lets recall Shri Nripendra Mishra had been the chairman of TRAI for quite many years and more or less there was nothing like new policy or old policy. It was mainly to hike the prices. more  
TATASKY is a blemish on TATA name, which has in any case gone down the drain post Nadia tapes - they are simply looting. more

The BEST thing is , if you have an idea that you will be away for a week or two, better you pay PRORATA basis in that month. For instance w had been away from 17 May, till 31 May this year and we we had advance Flight bookings, we just paid to TATA SKY only 17/31 of monthly rate . When we returned home we paid for next month as Telecasting was stopped on 17 May by service provider and resumed after we returned. more
