Doctor follow ups
Big scam nowadays is doctors charging fees for every visit after 3-7 day gap.
Earlier it used to be 30 days. Now every follow up after 3-7 days (based on where u are in India) costs 1k-1.5k type. Its a loot and unfair.
What can be done? more

Govt hospitals are not well equipped and manpower shortage is there. Doctors are busy in fones .For Dog bite case , I went in govt hospital,gave case paper to him, asked date of dog bite and sent on other floor,without seeing my wound and it's severity. It happens.No one is serious.long que is there. more

well there are remediesavailable to correct thisUnfortuntely particular authority is specifically designated to enforce even the ruglated requirements. For Instance all doctors are bound to display a board on the reception of the amount charged as Fees for the first time and thereafter for follow up visits with time indicated. No Doctor or Hospital follows this. This is an unfair practice. THere is a central Consumer Protection Authoirty of India to take note of such unfair practices. But it too busy even to ack. complaints sent to CCPA. So consumers suffer.Such unfair practices are going on on all selling platforms ,E commerce etc. but even when it is openly indulged for all , that all go unpunished . more

Our thinking has become such that we no longer trust government hospitals, whereas at present there are good doctors and facilities in government hospitals and private doctors are taking advantage of this and they get full support of the media. Media makes even the smallest shortcomings of government hospitals look big while it ignores all the irregularities of private doctors/hospitals. more
