DO NOT BUY UNPASTEURISED MILK

India worked hard for decades to eliminate abdominal TB. Some Misinformed parents are now buying milk from local Tabela thinking its more authentic. There is 0 quality control and microbial check there.

If you want to consume milk use standard regulated dairy. Packaged milk is presently the SAFEST one in India. more

Please share any scientific studies so that readers can benefit. Also what % was affected is not clear. None of the packaged milk vendors provide same cow's milk guarantee. Are there any studies that support the benefits or ill effects ? No. Lack of studies cannot be taken as lack of evidence. How can we safely consume unregulated milk ? more
Actually, drinking milk without pasteurising or boiling will cause Mycobacterium bovis infection, not M. tuberculosis. However, this strain is virtually absent in our cases of TB essentially because of the practice of boiling before consuming milk. Studies done in the National Institute for Medical Research of ICMR over the last 65 years have shown that even cases of abdominal TB are due to MTB and not M bovis. It is a healthy practice to continue boiling milk as one cannot always assume sterility of the commercial packaged milk. more
Please do not consume milk & milk products.... Perhaps 'buttermilk' 1-2 glasses per day from reliable sources may be consumed. Stopping consumption of milk & milk products shall curtail many diseases of human beings..... Milk of any animal (including human beings) is made/ meant for its own baby and not suitable for other animals.... more

Still large number of people buy milk from milkmen in unhygienic conditions under the belief that it's fresh. There is need to educate masses. more
