Display of email ids
I am delighted to know that after reading various posts on the subject, you have taken an initiative. It is absolutely necessary that display of E:Mail IDs on Home Page of all eCommerce Companies and other Public Limited Companies having public Dealings to make compulsory. There should be also provision to impose daily penalty on defaulting companies which fail to display E:Mail ID.
There are numerous cases in which customer get different product in place of product ordered or get defective product of fake product etc. There is an instance reported that instead of Mobile Phone ordered by Customer , he got a piece of Stone.
Most eCommerce Companies also have Rule that Replacement or Refund will be given only if Customer informs within TEN Days or so. Some eCommerce Companies have arrangement of Internal Massage system having Drop down Menu. Mostly it does not allow to post correct details of complaint. Customer becomes helpless. Even in such a case of Internal Message System, if a customer has posted any complaint, he will not have a copy of the same. In case dispute is not resolved and customer want to file a consumer Complaint in Consumer Court, he will not be able to prove that he has raised a complaint.
This is a vicious Circle.
I have similar problem with Fliopkart.com. I purchased a Lenovo Smart Band from Flipkart in May, 2017. It worked properly for about 25 days but than it stopped working. Product has One Year Warranty and Seller or Flaipkart is bound to replace ir or refund money/ or to solve that problem so that I can use the product. I have long exchange from my Mail ID to Flipkart Mail ID -i.e cs@flaipkart.com. However when I asked address of Seller, Flaipkart did not provide it. When I insisted and warned Flipkart that I will go to Consumer Court. (I am a Lawyer), I got a reply from Flipkart that this Mail ID is not in use. In fact it was a false excuse to avoid further interacting with me.
I than informed Flipkart on the same Mail ID that to discontinue Mail ID is itself an UNFAIR Trade Practice under Consumer Protection Act. On receiving this they started interaction with the same Mail ID .
Sir, From this story you will understand as to how Consumers are facing problems even after payment of hard earned money. for the product.
I therefore, earnestly request you to take this matter very seriously and take immediate appropriate actions to make DISPLAY of Mail ID by all eCommerce Companies and such other companies which have Public Dealings e.g. Banks, Insurance Companies, Telecom Companies, Internet and Broadband Providers etc.
I very much hope that you will give a serious thought to this and immediately make necessary Rule or Regulations.
