My daughter raised a disconnection request for the WiFi services she had with Airtel, as she moved from the city she was staying in. First of all there is no option to raise a disconnection request in My Airtel app or the Airtel Portal. With much difficulty she contacted the customer care executives and raised a request (Req. ID- 119610642) and was told it will be processed within a week but that didn't happen. Instead she started receiving calls everyday from Airtel asking why she wanted a disconnection and offering alternatives, which was an utter waste of her time. This month the bill has again been sent to her. Please take this up with Airtel senior executives and close this request ASAP, this is an unnecessary financial burden on me. more
Why to bother much. Once anyone wants to disconnect the line, inform the airtel customer care in advance through mail or whatsapp and then don't pay the current bill. Airtel will automatically disconnect the line & adjust the security deposit. The most safest way mark the copy of mail to TRAI. that will help to contest in future. TRAI is also a sleeping mode institution now a days but it keeps the option open. Now a days no one wishes to lose a connection so everyone offers alternatives. more
yes, Airtel makes sure that disconnection is the hardest thing to be done. Absolutely nowhere disconnection is mentioned in their site, app or even in IVR of customercare. more
As stated in the post, you have placed a disconnection request and Airtel has given you a reference number of your request. Pls stop using the services else you will continue to be billed. Your responsibility shall be over with this. At best you can mail them about disconnection request registered with the Airtel. more
