Demonetisations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes

Today I went to HDFC Bank in Greater Noida and drove through a number of banks from Greater Noida to Noida to Delhi and back.At all places the number of persons in line were hardly between 20 to 25. No one was complaining about demonetisations or any inconvenience. The bank staff were very helpful especially to senior citizen at HDFC Bank, Omega, Greater Noida .
Thereafter I went to Sector 18, Noida, Bengali Market, Delhi and Central Market, Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. There was traffic jam at all the three places with cars clogging the roads. There were people going back loaded with shopping bags containing fancy goods and not bare essential items to survive. The atmosphere was such as if no demonetisations has taken place, there was no shortage of money and people were thronging market buying things. The real situation is that there is no problem. No one is starving. Everyone is going about in almost normal way.
In such a large scale operation all over country there is bound to be a few instances of hardship. But TV channels and Newspapers are only highlighting these stray incidents. Good work in no news but only bad news is good news for them. They are deliberately and selectively showing or highlighting any wrong action of bank employees and not the good work. They are doing this to get higher TRP and circulation.
Instead of praising the effort of the GOVT to weed out black money, promote recorded transactions through banking channels and widen the taxpayer base, the TV and press are spreading misinformation.
Are we proud that only 4 percent of population of India files income tax return compared to 29 percent of population with only 8 percent better off white population in South Africa who files return ? Are we not aware that a lot of people in our own neighbourhood have taxable income but they do not pay any taxes. Are we not ashamed of the situation?
Let everyone bear some trouble so that tax evaders become compliant. TV and Press must change their approach and start supporting the good move. more

Thanks Rajiv ji. I endorse your views. But the factual position is the malice of hoarding, and complete lack of attitude of WE THE PEOPLE and NATION FIRST. more
Govt is trying to remove corruption the base for all anti social elements in the society. This will support the working glass in the long run but will impact those who heatherto enjoying life without any productive activities themselves with immediate effect. They will try their level best to ensure that the inititaive fails at any cost. This is a testing time for the people of this country to stand together in bold and support central Govt with utmost patience and patriotism. Thanks more
Thank you Shri Rajiv Singh for your enthusiastic and realistic report.People like you should report from all our cities their experiences to expose the lies of the opposition and to boost the morale of our right thinking citizens. more
sir you are correct but now a days it really effect the market as no new projects , existing projects and works are in hold due to lack of smaller denomination of cash. more
Public Sector Banks are not supplied with adequate currencies, bot in the counter as well as in their ATM's. Presently even Pvt.sector Banks condition also gone worse, and they too are not supplied with adequate quantity of notes. Generally there is a doubt whether the smaller denominations are also hoarded in houses as precaution. This is common in such emergency situation. Hence, bring confidence in Genuine customers of Banks and allow certain amount in a week (say 25,000/- per week) both from counter and from ATMs from any ATM machines. of a Bank. Let the Govt/RBI infuse confidence and security in the minds of Bank customers so that they will not over draw their money within a short period. THIS IS URGENT. more
