Delhi overage vehicle policy
Delhi is implementing its 'no fuel for overage vehicles' policy, with 477 out of 500 fuel stations equipped with ANPR systems to identify vehicles older than 15 years (petrol) and 10 years (diesel).

-Yes, it's true that many vehicles are not even driven 50-60 thousands kms in 15 years, still these vehicles are of no use. Govt. must obtain maintenance/ servicing report of the vehicle that may indicate the true picture of the vehicle condition. No one drives a vehicle once it's in poor condition. Govt. must introspect on it prior to take a final call. Local Circle may also take up the issue to review. more

SC & NGT were totally blind in this decision, instead of age, vehicle should be banned on the basis of pollution check report. There are 2/3 year old vehicles & clocked lakhs of km hence emitting too much smoke. On the other hand, old cars properly maintained & less used are banned that too when government collected road tax for 15 years. more

i have seen vehicles spewing black smoke clouds but they are no 10 yr old maybe. Vehicle condition does not matter. It is just the age that ensures continuous recycling of cars and new cars will be sold. Tax, Road tax, GST, Toll tax and now one sided scrap policy.... for them a well maintained Mayback is equal to a poorly maintained nano. more
