Pakistan only understands the tit-for-tat policy. We should have modern arms to take down their soldiers/intruders, if they hit one of ours. This is a hopeless country and danger to whole world. more

Dear Kapil, I agree with your view that we need to be tough in our response. But certain things are not meant for discussion on TV with the same kind of aggression as we do across the table or even on Twitter. Particularly now when the whole world is trying to pick points to criticize Mr Modi, we should not give them an ammunition. Mr Gadkari is considered a sufficiently senior member of BJP and hence his views will be attributed to BJP in general. Had it been a Girirajsingh or a Togadia, it was not of much consequence. Hence a diplomatic response was called for during the above debate. more

India should increase its defence budget three fold, increase substantially the forces fighting infiltration at the border with Pakistan and our forces should be provided with bullet proof jacket to increase their efficiency. V. Ramachandran more

Hi Mr Vijayashanker I would like to ask you how would you respond to person who is abusing your family? I think its time that India became very hard on Pakistan , this diplomatic approach does not work with a country like Pakistan, it has already been tried at the time of Sri Vajpayee. I feel that that if India wants to become a super power in this region we need to be powerful and aggressive. we need to double our defence presence on the borders and completely stop infiltration and I suggest to attack all terrorist camps in Pakistan , I can bet u they will not retaliate just as they did not when our air force mig 21's shot down their p3 Orion aircraft back in the times of the Vajpayee govt. you are correct. However, nobody takes media very seriously now a days.. Modi has enough experience to deal with Arnab,kanwar,Sirdesai and such lots. All have to improve or indian audience will take care of them soon. I feel you have over reacted and instaed of being serious ,enjoy it. Law and love are quite different PHENOMENA . Seems You are in Law to BJP, rather then in love to Bjp.. :) more
