Deadly air struggle has begun for residents of Delhi NCR: Action Needed

Many of you have been actively discussing the subject of air quality and participated in the recent survey. 65% of households in Delhi have atleast 1 or more individuals that are suffering with cough, cold, sore throat, burning eyes or respiratory problems since the air quality deteriorated significantly over last 1 week. Below is the link to the survey.

65 pct households already have someone suffering with pollution related ailment.

Chances are unless people create awareness about this actively, nothing will happen. We will again see 1000+ AQI days and our print and TV media will continue reporting what Government is saying.

You are requested to share this survey with every single local contact of yours and with via your social media urging the 4 state Chief Ministers to act and for the Prime Minister and Environment Minister to enable and support.

Also, if you have inputs on how no stubble burning can be enforced and alternate solutions provided at speed, do share. more

NOW DELHI CM TAKE PROMPT ACTION FOR POLUTION IT WILL INCREASE UP TO DECEMBER... more
The problem is no one is ready to heed to the opinion and Medical Fraternity which says that all the pumonary problems are due to AQIwhicn needs immediate attention.

No Political party , ruling Government wants to take an initiative .They are all interested in getting back to power or regaining it . None wants to face reality by taking up any mmeasures to curb the Pollution of Delhi.

The most important and avoidable / reducable is the present activity that has increased the Woes ; causing deterioration to the Air quality. It is the stubble burning and that has been the topic in focus all theses t years.

There have been many suggestions in this post to ocllect stubble , thus not impose any extra burden on the farmers.
Farmers also cant go scotfree of being unmindful and burning the stubble, at the Delhiites Health and life for their own profits . more
I Agree completely that political will is required. Stubble burning can be controlled and alternative measures enforced if the Centre and States work in tandem. Private enterprise should also be asked to step in to help. more
More then 90% pollution is due to local reasons of contruction work, garbage etc, but Delhi's so called government is, as usual, blaming all others and not taking any step/measures to control it. more
